What we restore
Careful Work on Furniture That Matters

Furniture Repair & Refinishing
Damaged veneer, scratches and watermarks, loose joints, and broken frames and mirrors can all be brought back. We repair the structure first, then refinish the surface so the piece looks right and lasts, keeping as much of the original wood and character as possible.

French Polishing & Waxing
French polish is the traditional finish for fine furniture, built up by hand in thin layers with a rubbing pad rather than a machine. Followed by waxing, it gives a deep, warm glow that modern sprayed finishes cannot match. It is our specialty.

Wood Stripping
Old finishes, paint, and years of buildup can hide good wood. Our stripping method removes them without ruining the aged surface, so the old patina of the wood stays intact and the piece keeps its age and depth.

Wood Carving
When a piece has lost a carved detail, a molding, or a part altogether, we carve a replacement by hand. Custom carvings, matching moldings, and recreated furniture parts are shaped to blend with the original work.

Color Matching, Gilding & Touch Up
Decorative designs and painted details wear over time. We restore them by hand, matching color and tone, regilding where needed, and touching up worn spots so repairs disappear into the finished piece.

Hardware Restoration
Original pulls, hinges, and locks are part of a piece's history. We clean and restore original hardware, source or make replacements when something is missing, and repair or make locks and keys so drawers and doors work as they should.

We follow traditional restoration rules so your piece keeps the originality that makes it worth restoring.
French Polish Specialists
French polish and wooden art restoration are our primary focus, backed by more than 25 years of experience.
